Design Challenge - Mousetrap Racer

Introduction\nI am on school holidays. I substantiate entered a rival to win $200 dollars. The assign is to base a trap play race driver that can change of location over 8 meters. In order to do this I need to research trap play racers to gain an understanding of how they meet and what materials and designs leave behinding work best. I also need to build and modify my racer so that it can travelling the utmost It can possibly go.\n\n probe\nFor this project I am required to build a racer powered by a mo applytrap, which can travel 8 metres. In researching for this task I retain free-base many diametrical designs of racers that merged a mousetrap, these including varied shapes and sizes, weights and b step up of steering wheels. During this research I give up discovered the essential attributes of the gondola car that is needed for it to travel 8 meters, The body must mother minimal load as this well prevent it from existence weighed down and acting slow which will affect acceleration. The mousetrap needs an arm which pulls a pulley, this is attached by string, the monthlong the arm the more gouge is being pulled. I have observed that a racer needs to have at least 3 wheels to run, nevertheless I have seen designs with different configurations and wheels up to eight. However I have decided to use four wheels for my racer, devil elfin wheels on the comportment and two grown wheels at the back, I believe this will amplification the rolling distance of the racer with the large wheels at the effectuate and acceleration at the front with a faster wheel spin. I have elect to construct the body out of pine as it is a light material and is balmy enough to cut and sand easily yet is fast enough for its intended mathematical function and is readily available. The wheels I will be using ar two wheels I will recycle from last classs design repugn: CO2 dragster, as these are lightweight and are consummate size. For the rear wheels I have chosen to use CD discs as these are large and have a thin out contact patch which reduces weight, positive the undersi...
